If you are looking to buy a car, truck or other vehicle, then you will want to read this page about auto auction listings.
Most bargains are found at auctions that sell repossessed or seized cars, trucks and other vehicles. A government surplus vehicle auction and police auction are the most commonly known. These types of agencies prefer to sell the vehicles quickly via auctions rather than pay the high costs for storage. As a result, you may find autos for up to 90 percent off their book value.
The problem is that many of these auctions are not well advertised, so mainly the car dealers pick up the bargains and resell them to the general public for huge profits. There are many sites that provide listings of these less advertised auto auctions, but it would be wise to read the following paragraph before you rush into joining any membership.
There is an increasing number of web sites that provide listings of auto auctions to the general public. Some of the sites also provide listings for boats, real estate, household goods, computers and much more. Unfortunately, some people have reported that many of them do not live up to their expectations, whilst others have commented that some sites have databases that are not up to date or too small. Other reports suggest that some sites have poor customer relationships or complex searching facilities. Below is a list of sites that we currently recommend.
Sites That We Currently Recommend
ICarFinder
This site also has a special. A one time membership fee of $35 (currently
reduced from $49.95). It claims to be "the best source for
finding you the cheapest car".
Car-auction
This site provides a variety of membership options ranging from a 1 year membership to a lifetime membership. It also provides listings for seized vehicles in every country for every state.
Note:
All of these web sites contain very large databases where, after
you become a member, you can search for the type of vehicle you
want from various auction locations within the US except for Car-auction
which also lists vehicles from other countries. They also provide
up to a 6 week guarantee. So there is no risk in trying them out.
Happy auto hunting.
Are you worried about the rising
gas costs? I just came across a book that shows you how you can
use water for fuel. This method will reduce emmisions and possibly
help reduce global warming. I thought that this was all silly, but
it is not. Look here
for more details.
PS
Before you buy your desired vehicle, it is important to find out the potential auto insurance premiums for it. The Auto Guidance Auto Insurance page describes why this is so and also provides free online quotes.
